Update for Sunday December 6th at 18:50

Dear Residents,

There are currently 16 verified patients in Efrat. This morning, Efrat became a yellow city, due to the increase in the number of patients over a short period of time. We are following the trends of national and local morbidity with concern, and we urge you to continue following the rules and to go get tested to protect yourselves and other residents.

Last week, a member of Bnei Akiva in the Zayit tested positive. Despite the division into capsules and the wearing of masks, quite a few kids and madrichim went into isolation as a result of the activity that took place over Shabbat Irgun.

We would like to emphasize that in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, wearing a mask does not prevent isolation, but it does reduce the chance of infection. We must take this into account at every event or meeting which we or our children attend.

An assistant at the Tuesday capsule of the ‘Mofet’ Seniors club tested positive.

The last contact with the assistant was on Tuesday, December 1st.

5 seniors and 4 staff members were in attendance on this day, some of whom are residents of Efrat, and some are residents of Gush Etzion.

Everyone in this capsule was personally notified and has gone into isolation according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

The rest of the capsules are not required to isolate.

The Mofet Club will be closed starting tomorrow, Monday, December 7, and the activity will move to Zoom. We will notify you when in person activity is to resume.

The Matnas has prepared a wide range of Chanukah activities for all ages, including escape room kits, fun intergenerational activities, and more ...

You are welcome to visit the Matnas website to register - the number of participants is limited!

In addition, registration for Chanukah school for ganim and grades 1-2 is open. At the moment, the registration in the schools is very low, and since we cannot combine grades, we will not be able to run the program for grades 1-2 over Chanukah if more people do not sign up.

The Ganim Chanukah program will operate, however the more people that register, the more we will be able to avoid merging groups according to the guidelines.

Registration is open until tomorrow evening.
