Arranging handicapped parking
Dear Residents,
In accordance with municipal procedure, a person with disabilities may request reserved parking for his vehicle by submitting documents and certificates to the Shefa Department.
Reserved parking spaces in public areas are provided only to those who do not have a private parking space in their place of residence or another solution for parking.
In order to discuss your application with the Municipal Signage Committee, you must fill out the form including the declaration and attach the necessary documents.
Please note that hanging the sign and marking the box do not give you property rights on the space allocated for parking for your vehicle. The Council may change the location or cancel it at its discretion.
The sign will remain in place as long as you need it, and it should not be used by anyone but you.
Eligibility for disabled parking is for a disabled person who has presented a certificate from a doctor who is authorized to approve a disability according to law, and has confirmed in writing one of the following:
Blindness
The degree of disability is 90% and being on the road without a vehicle may impair his health.
The individual’s walking is restricted and he/she needs a wheelchair for mobility (those with a wheelchair-disabled tag only).
The individual needs a car as a means of transportation because of a disability with his/her legs.
