Resident update Saturday night at 7:00 p.m
Dear residents of Efrat,
Following the events in the south of the country, 3 sirens were sounded in the hours before noon in Efrat. There was no damage or casualties. The emergency operation center in the security department has been opened and the head of the council and the director of the emergency and security department are conducting situation assessments there with the managers and employees of the council's complexes and with the chairman of the Tschashim.
In accordance with the army's instructions, the soldiers of the security wing and the standby units were deployed throughout Efrat to assist the security forces in their missions.
Following the directives of the Home Front Command, a state of "reduced activity" was announced in Efrat:
*Gathering in open space is limited to 10 participants only.
*Gathering in a closed structure up to 50 participants. It is recommended to minimize gatherings.
*you may go to work provided there is a protected space and that the time of arrival to it is in accordance with the regional defense time in the area.
All second hakafot events are cancelled.
Tomorrow, Sunday 8.10, there will be no classes or any other educational activity.
The activities of the community center/matnas will not take place including after-school classes, chugim and vatikim programs.
Workers will not be allowed to enter Efrat.
During the holiday, many people from Efrat were recruited by the army. The tzachash teams are in contact with the families of the recruits in the neighborhoods. At the request of the army, families staying over in Efrat from outside of Efrat should avoid trips tonight that are not essential and to postpone their trips until tomorrow to facilitate the movement of troops and allow the army to concentrate on urgent tasks beyond road security. Many roads and checkpoints throughout the country are closed to allow movement for the security forces.
