Update for residents Monday 30.10 at 18:00
Dear residents,
It is with great sadness that we were informed last night of the death of the Sergeant Major Yinon Fleishman Z"L - the son of Benny and Michal Fleishman from the Gefen neighborhood. Yinon Z"L grew up in Efrat and left behind his wife Noa and his little son Ziv and his five brothers and sisters.
His funeral was held this afternoon on Har Herzl in Jerusalem. The family will be sitting shiva in the Fleishman family home, 38 Hagafen Street, Efrat. Noa will sit in Efrat on Tuesday and Friday. The rest of the days she will be at her parents' house at 2 Rabbi Zaira St. in Jerusalem
We send our sincere condolences to the extended Fleishman family, may his memory be blessed.
In the afternoon, sirens were heard in Efrat and south Jerusalem. No injuries or damage were reported. The explosive sounds that were heard resulted from Iron Dome interceptions. Interceptor parts fell in an open area outside Efrat.
We recommend downloading the Home Front Command app to receive the alarm notification even indoors.
Search for "home front command" in your app store.

In recent days, about 150 residents signed up to volunteer for the Police Civil Guard. The list of 150 volunteers was handed over to the Israel Police. 70 of them went to the compatibility check stage. Updates will be sent to the volunteers.
We are aware of the difficulty in the student transportation system to the educational institutions.
Although the educational institutions have returned to almost full activity, the transportation system is still operating in a reduced format. This is because there is a significant lack of buses and drivers as they have been called up to the army.
