Update for residents Thursday 19.10 at 17:30:
Dear residents,
Today, all the educational frameworks in Efrat, including the preschools, were open. At this stage we are operating in a kind of emergency routine, alert and attentive to the fighting situation and the updated instructions. About ten children from the South that are staying in Efrat were integrated into the educational frameworks in Efrat. We welcome them with a big hug.
If there is no worsening of the situation in our area - the education department is preparing to open the preschools starting Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with full attendance from our dear preschool teacher assistants.
The community center (matnas) is also prepared to run after care (tzaharon) until 16:00 beginning Sunday.
On Sunday, all Emunah daycares in Efrat will operate until 1:00 p.m.
The elementary schools will operate in accordance with the updated schedule on the council's website. https://www.efrat.muni.il/.../%D7%A2%D7%93%D7%9B%D7%95.../
The after school programs of the social services department will run and the senior programs will take place in the Orot Yehuda Yeshiva safe room.
Tomorrow, Friday 20.10, there will be no school, including preschools, in Efrat to allow the education staff to get a day off and conserve their energy for next week.
Garbage removal: Due to a nationwide issue in the removal of cardboard and paper, the containers throughout Efrat are full. We try to distribute the surplus between the containers. Please try to flatten the cartons as best you can.
Preparation for Shabbat: Also this weekend, volunteers of the Lirot Ve'Lehiraot "See and Be Seen" unit of armed residents of Efrat will continue to strengthen the security system and patrols in Efrat. To volunteer for the unit click on this link... (link)
