Update for residents Friday 13.10 at 14:00
Dear residents,
We are in the seventh day of the Iron Swords War.
In Efrat, a security routine is in place. Military forces and many armed volunteers have been added to reinforce the settlement's security system.
A little while ago, we finished a live video meeting with the head of the council, Oded Revivi, who gave a comprehensive overview of the security preparations in Efrat. You can watch here:

In addition, we would like to clarify and explain the types of emergency alerts:
The Home Front Command has several types of alarms.
Missile alarm - siren sound going up and down. When the siren sounds, you must reach a protected area within a minute and a half and wait 10 minutes after the end of the last alarm.
Terrorist intrusion alarm - an announcement is combined with the siren announcing the intrusion of terrorists.
If it is activated, you must enter the nearest protected area, lock windows and doors, turn off lights and even on shabbat, take and turn on your phone's in order to follow the instructions issued by the the council's social media.
It's important to remember!
At the time of the event, the security hotline is busy with calls and dealing with the event. Do not call to receive information, but only to pass on reports of incidents if necessary.
All the information and all the instructions will go out on the council's social media.
Preparation and instructions for Saturday:
Halachic instructions from Rabbi Shimon Golan and updates from the religious council regarding the following topics:
Information regarding Mikvahs on Shabbat, minyanim in synagogues, availability of emergency and security personnel and using mobile phones have been uploaded to the council's website
During Shabbat it will be possible to stay updated through silent radio stations through which Shabbat observers will be able to receive alerts on Shabbat. The list of silent radio stations appears on the council's website.
Youth movements: this Saturday there will be no activity in the youth movements with the exception of Osher Zayit which will take place in a building with a protected space adjacent to Zayit. Children who live far away will have counselors come to their homes. Notices have gone out to parents.
The Efrat security center is available for you by phone *5436 In case of suspicion, a report must be submitted in real time.
At the end of a difficult week, we thank the residents of Efrat who have volunteered and initiated so many projects in a variety of fields in order to help and assist.

We wish you all a Shabbat Shalom, a quiet and peaceful Shabbat, in which we will all pray for peace, for the protection of the fighters, for a full recovery to those in need and for the return of the missing to their families.
Am Yisrael Chai!
We will continue to update,
