Dear Residents,

The Shefa Department is responsible for keeping the city clean and tidy,

We ask for your help in maintaining the guidelines:

1.Do not block garbage containers and recycling bins with vehicles. It prevents the removal of garbage!

2. Removal or scrap and gardening waste is done on Thursdays. On Wednesday you may put out the scrap and gardening materials next to the trash can. Scrap materials put out after the garbage has been taken out will remain there until the following Thursday. Please don’t block access to the bins with cartons and large objects.

3. Cartons should be discarded in the cardboard bins. There are 4 carton bins in Efrat: At the Te’ena shopping center, the Dekel Shopping Center, in the Dekel neighborhood near the Ohel Shimon and Esther Synagogue, and in the Zayit neighborhood near the makolet.

4. Only paper, newspapers, thin cardboard (like cereal boxes), and egg cartons should be placed in the paper recycling bins. Do not throw cardboard in the paper bin! Do not leave bags near the paper bins!

5, Please be sure to prune trees and vegetation that inhibit pedestrian walkways.

6. Be sure to clear objects and shrubs that are good hiding places for snakes.

7. Dog feces - We receive many complaints about dog feces on sidewalks and in parks and playgrounds. Needless to say, this is a sanitary hazard and a nuisance to the public. We ask all dog owners to please pick up after their pets.

8. Please take care not to leave standing water in your yard.  Empty buckets, leaks, and over-watering can attract mosquitos.

9. Throwing wipes into the toilet toilets causes blockages in the municipal sewer system, leaks in the sewer pipes, and great financial damage to residents and the environment. Please do not flush wipes down the toilet.

10. Electricity flows in the lighting poles even when the lights are off, so stay away from exposed poles and report them immediately to the Moked at 106.

11. Reports can be sent to the Shefa Department through the Efrat app, so you can follow up and receive a message directly to your phone when the issue has been fixed.

Thank you for your cooperation!
