According to the Director General of the Ministry of Education, the criteria for eligibility for school transportation is as follows:
 1. Students in grades 1-4 who live 2 km or more from their school.

2. Students in grades 5-10 who live 3 km or more from their school.

3. Students in 11th and 12th grades are not eligible for transportation according to the criteria of the Ministry of Education, however they are permitted to pay to join the busing system.

Geographic Information System
The distance is determined by the Ministry of Education's "Geographic Information System" website, which calculates the walking route from the home address where the student is registered to the school he/she is attending.
