The student transportation system is an integral part of the education system in Efrat.

School bussing is intended for students who are eligible according to the criteria of the Ministry of Education. However, despite the high costs, the Council recognizes the importance of transportation, and we choose to allow students who are not eligible for free busing to use school transportation at a subsidized price.

The busing system consists of dozens of buses and bus stops. Every year we put a lot of thought and effort into adjusting travel times and routes to all the various schools. In Efrat we use a state-of-the-art smart system to manage the busing, and we have learned to streamline and refine this complex system.

The registration system for student transportation is simple and digital.
New students must complete the full registration, including the attachment of documents.
Returning students who are already in the system must confirm the data from previous years.

Distribution of bus cards to new passengers will take place during the first days of school. The cards are for multi-year use - they will be used by the students in the coming years, (the details will be adjusted before each school year when necessary). Ordering a new card automatically cancels the old card.

A student who has a bus card but is not eligible for transportation according to the distance criteria of the Ministry of Education, will receive a discount of 25 NIS from the price of transportation.

Students who register for busing after the start of the school year will be able to ride the bus only after the holidays, upon receipt of their bus card.

Swipe your card!!
When boarding the bus, students must swipe their card through the device installed next to the driver. Swiping allows us to continue streamlining the routes and shortening travel times.
Students will not be allowed to board buses without a bus card that matches the direction of travel (two-way/morning/afternoon)
