Resident update Sunday 15.10 at 18:40
Dear residents,
On the ninth day of the Iron Swords war the directions of the Home Front Command were updated. Efrat is now in the "yellow zone" which allows for meetings of up to 300 people in a closed structure with a standard protected space (the number of people is still dependent on the capacity of the protected space). Outdoor gatherings are allowed with up to 30 people provided that the arrival time to the protected space is up to one and a half minutes.
The education system: In the last few hours we are working tirelessly to partially open schools tomorrow while meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the army. There are many difficulties that obligate us to think outside of the box and be creative. Only when we are confident that we meet the requirements, we will be able to update which classes will be opened and to what extent.
We will update later this evening, as soon as we have all the details arranged.
From the matnas (community center): gym, library, Sheinfeld Center, Yafit Center and sports and dance classes for adults are operating as usual.
Sports, art, music and dance classes for children and youth will gradually open starting tomorrow (notices will be sent to the specific groups)
Sports chugim in outdoor spaces (soccer, baseball, football, tennis) - will not run due to the absence of a nearby accessible protected space.
Religious Council: updated instructions have been uploaded to the council's website
We remind you that these days, more than usual, you should be careful not to open suspicious links or links coming from unknown sources.
Only contribute to ventures and projects that you know the manager of or that come from verified organizations.
On the website https://www.coing.co/Efrat_Main you can find links for volunteering for the Lirot Ve'Lehiraot "See and Be Seen" security volunteer group as well as information for enlistment for people exempt from reserves.
At 20:00 we will have a Facebook Live where questions related to returning to school will be answered.
In prayer for the peace of our soldiers and the security and rescue forces,
We will continue to update,
The Public Information Team
