The Orot Etzion girls school is a religious school that operates according to the Barkai method, with approximately 315 students in grades 4-8 in 14 classes, including 2 special education classes.
We are guided by faith and reverence for God, along with love of Torah and the land, with innovative programs that lead our students to success. A warm atmosphere with rich social programming allows each student to contribute and grow. The teaching staff is professional, dedicated, and loyal, and together we create an educational climate that promotes our vision.
The Orot Etzion Girls School community advocates social involvement. The school's students volunteer during the year, both inside and outside the school. We see parents as full partners in the educational process and as an integral part of their daughter's success in school.
At school, we focus on the personal strengths of each student. Each girl progresses according to goals she sets for herself together with her teachers. Educational staff create strong personal connections with the girls, and we strive to develop their strengths and talents. The school curriculum is diverse, allowing each student to pursue different areas of interest.
The school has won a District Climate Award, as a result of hard and creative work to promote a sense of belonging in the school. This is a wonderful testament to the kind, attentive and respectful atmosphere among all those in our school
The diversity of our curriculum allows students to develop many different areas of interest:
We encourage girls to study Torah for its own sake. Opportunities include: a beit midrash shared with the Migdal Oz seminary, daily Rambam study, and the study of Perkei Avot for younger girls.
Adjusted levels of learning according to each student’s abilities and interests.
Field trips which connect to Bible studies.
The school runs a scientific-technological class. This special track includes enrichment hours in science, math, and halakhah.
The curriculum includes elective classes such as dance, drama, robotics and art. Students are also invited to participate in a school musical.
Orot Etzion Girls School provides a program for music and instruments including two choirs and ensembles, and lessons in recorder, flute mandolin, clarinet and guitar.
Our unique sports program includes basketball, netball, volleyball, ground gymnastics, and athletics competitions.
