Daily update, Tuesday April 28th, 16:00

Dear Residents,

Yom HaZikaron is drawing to a close, and as we near Yom HaAtzmaut additional restrictions will take effect. Grocery stores and restaurants are closed. No one is allowed to travel in or out of Efrat, and everyone must stay within 100 meters of their home.

Residents should celebrate in their homes. Parties and barbecues are prohibited in public spaces. Minyanim are allowed up to 500 meters from the house, with up to 19 people, wearing masks, and keeping a distance of 2 meters between people.
The Israeli police will enforce these rules. Please obey the instructions.

A festive tefila led by Avi Schmel will be broadcast tonight at 19:40 pm on the Facebook pages of the Matnas, the Council, and the Mayor.
The community Yom HaAtzmaut ceremony will be posted on the community center's Facebook page. The Youtube link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sR9weDVpV1g&feature=you

According to the media, there is a possibility that school will resume soon. At this time, we have not yet received guidance regarding the curriculum and transportation. We expect that these decisions will be made towards the weekend, and we will update accordingly.
Today and Thursday, the staff of the Shefa Division will clean and prepare the schools for the return of students.

As the guidelines ease and we begin returning to normal, it is possible that we will see a resurgence of the virus. Now that the kupot cholim are conducting the tests, we do not receive data on how many tests  are being administered. We therefore stress that anyone who is waiting for their tests results must remain in isolation. A resident who receives a diagnosis and wishes to receive assistance from the Council should contact us or the Neighborhood Teams.

We wish you a joyful Yom HaAtzmaut
